  • 200 gm Tamarind (Imli)
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • ½ tbsp black salt
  • Salt as per taste
  • ½ tbsp Cumin Seeds
  • ½ tbsp Black peppar
  • ½ tsp Red Chilli (optional)


  • Soaked, tamarind in water for 30 minutes.
  • Then add sugar and boil it for a while.
  • After that add ½ tbsp of black salt and salt as per taste and again boil it until sugar is completely cooked.
  • Then add some spices in it. Mix it
  • When the consistency of chutney is little thick that means Tamarind chutney is ready to serve with any snack you want.
