- 250 gram Kama Kakdi (Lotus Stem)
- 2 Potato(Aloo)
- 1 tbsp Garlic Paste
- 2 tbsp Vegetable Oil
- 1/2 tbsp Cumin Seeds (Jeera)
- 1/2 tbsp Turmeric powder (Haldi)
- 1/2 tbsp Red Chilli Powder
- Kasturi Methi (sprinkle)
- salt (as per your taste)

- Firstly wash and peel the lotus stem and aloo
- Cut Kamal Kakdi into thin slices and cut cubes of Potato.
- Heat a pan and put vegetable oil
- Add lotus stem into the pan and after some time add an Aloo in it
- Leave this for 10 min and wait until Kamal Kakdi changes to Golden brown.
- Put fried vegetables aside into the plate
- Take a pan & put vegetable oil in the pan.
- Add cumin seeds into the pan
- Add half chopped and half sliced onion and garlic into the pan on high flame
- After onion becomes slightly golden brown then add turmeric powder, chilli powder, and salt as per your taste
- Mix it well and add fried Kamal Kakdi and Aloo into the masala
- Lastly, add tomato chilli paste for colour and tangy taste
- Mix it properly and your dry Kamal Kakdi Aloo recipe is ready to serve.
- This Kamal Kakdi recipe is good to go with Chapati and a bowl of raita or you can have buttermilk with it.
Notes
- Most of the people boil Kamal Kakdi but this is not the best way to cook Kamal Kakdi. For golden brown crunchy Masala Kamal Kakdi recipe, always shallow fry it and then mix it with the Masala. It becomes a tastier than before.
