Chole Bhature recipe is an extremely popular Punjabi breakfast that is popular in many parts of India. It is a quite common dish that is available in almost every dhabas or restaurant in India. Chole Bhature is a heavy breakfast dish that’s why I always preferred Chole Bhature at lunch. Because I don’t like to have a fried breakfast.

Bhature is a fried fluffy flatbread that is served with thick Chole curry. Everyone has a different way to make Chole some people like it spicy or tangy flavored chole and some like mild-flavored chole but that depends on the person’s taste.

In the northern side of India, Chole Bhature also serves with lassi (buttermilk). Chole- Bhature goes great with onion salad, fried green chili and for making that dish tastier, then take some mango pickle along with onions and green chili. All those things complete the plate of Chole Bhature. Without those, I can’t imagine taking one bite of Chole Bhature.

Chole Bhature is my favorite dish that my mom made on my birthday. Yes, I can say that that’s my favorite birthday breakfast. If you want to get the real taste of Bhature then serve hot and fresh. Bhature is made up of all-purpose flour (maida). Personally I love to have homemade bhature rather than from any restaurant or dhabas.

Here I am going to share a recipe of Chole Bhature that is so easy to make at home. For making Bhature (flatbread), you have to make a dough. For making dough, you need all-purpose flour (maida), oil, salt, and baking powder. Add some water in it and make soft dough. Leave dough for 4-5 hours. When it’s done make small balls of dough roll it and fry it. Bhature is now ready.

Now, it’s time to make Chole, For making this Chole recipe, you need to soak chole overnight or for 7-8 hours and then add baking soda & salt in it. Leave pressure cooker for 1 whistle. After that, make tadka for the boiled chole. So finally, Chole Bhature is ready to enjoy in breakfast or lunch.

I’ll explain below the whole recipe step by step with photos. I hope you guys like and try this Chole Bhature Recipe.
